To day i learned about 단청. I will talk about 단청. 단청 is the colorful korean-styled decorations that are used on buildings. During 조선 dynasty,palaces and buddhist temples were painted with단청. This symbolizes the power of king. 단청 consists of five colors:Colors have own special symbol. Red represents fire. Black represents water. Green and blue represents tree or wood. White represents metal. Yellow represents earth. These five colors represent the five elements which make up the universe.
