Today is the second time. I went to National Museum of Korea. In the museum, I saw lots of things which are relics of Korean history.
There is a standard that can divide history. We can divide into prehistoric age and the historic age. First, there is old stone age. In old stone age, people hunted animals. They used hand-axes. However, in new stone age, people made stones more sharper. In new stone age, there weas comb-pattern pottery. It was used in the areas near to sea. After that, in the bronze age, people made bronze daggers, and the blade and grip were made separately and then combined.
After Iron age and Gojoseon, Jumong established Goguryeo. Goguryeo was a very powerful country. Also, Goguryeo had most largest territory in Korean history. The son of Jumong, Onjo established Backje. Backje is famous for bronze incense burner, which is showing how Backje's culture was sophisticated. Silla was established by Parkhyeokgeose. Silla is now famous for golden crowns. After that, Silla unified the three kingdoms, and we call "unified Silla".
Today, I could know many things about Korean history, and I thought that Korean history is very long and interesting. Tomorrow, I am going to Unhyungung. It's my first time to go there, so I am in anticipation. |
