Today I went to the Unhyungung.

Unhyungung was the personal house of the Heungseon Daewongun, the father of Gojong.

The first building you can see when you turn right from the entrance is the Su-Jik Sa.  Su-Jik Sa was the house for the guards that protected Unhyungung.

If you go straight from Su-Jik Sa there is a gate.  Next to the gate there is a stepping stone It is called a Ha-ma suk, or a No-dud Dol, and used for nobleman and the king to ride the horse easily.  If you go into the gate, you will see No-Ahn Dang.  No-Ahn Dang is the men's quarters.  Heung Sun Daewongun met his guests and did work here.  If you go in further, there is the No-Rak Dang.  It is the women's quarters.
