Heungseon Daewongun is father of king Gojong. Also, Gojong lived in Unhyungung until he became the king. I first went to Sujiksa. Sujiksa is a place where the guards of Heungseon Daewongun stayed. Next, I went to Noandang, which is sarangchae of Unhyungung. The hanging board of Noandang is made by calligraphy master, Kim-Jeonghee.

   And then, I went to Norakdang. Norakdang is women's living area. It is biggest place because women can't go outside. However, after Gojong and Empress Myeongseong's marriage held here, Heungseon Daewongun's family can't use it. So, Irodang was built for another Anchae. Today, I could know about Juryeon too. Juryeon is a signboard on the pillars. In Unhyungung, there wer many Juryeons too.

   Many royal families lived in other palaces, but, Unhyungung was a personal house of Heungseon Daewongun. Because it is not a real palace where many kings lived, I think that Unhyungung has a special meaning. Although it was small, it was very impressive. If I have a chance, I wish to go to Unhyungung one more time.
