Maybe two or three years ago, I went to Seoul Museum of History. However, today was different that I could know more unique things.
First, I want to talk about why Hanyang was the capital of Joseon. I think that Hanyang has Han river in the front, and mountain in the back, so it was good place for capital. At first, I didn't know why Hanyang was the capital of Joseon, and I thought that it was just because Hanyang was in the center of Korea. However, I understand why it is today.
Second, I want to talk about Six Ministries Street. Six Ministries Street is a street where many government officials came to work. I saw the miniature of Six Ministries Street, and I thought that it was like a big market with many people in Joseon.
Lastly, I want to talk about Joseon's water clock, Ja-gyeong-nu. Ja-gyeong-nu is made by Jang Yeong-sil. Ja-gyeong-nu shows time by itself, so I thought that our ancestors were very creative and smart.
Before I went to Seoul Museum of History, I only learned history about our country in schools or through books. However, today, I could know more things about Seoul's history too, so I think today was a helpful day. |
