Today I went to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. This palace was the main palace and it was the largest palace among the five palaces. Gyeongbokgung means " the Palace of the Great Fortune." Behind this palace there were mountains and streams. Now I will talk about the inner palace and the outer palace. We can divide the palace in to three sections. Inner palace, outer palace, and the palace for resting and hosting. The inner palace was used for the royal family's work. The outer palace was used for ceremonies, official work and events. The resting and hosting place is the place for rest and entertainment. Next, I will talk about the 근정전. It was part of the outer palace and it was the main building. Also, there were cermonies like cornations, royal weddings, and Chinese envoy receptions. |
