Today we went to 운현궁 which was the private house of Heungsin Daewongun. After his second son became the king of Joseon Dynasty, this house is started to call 운현궁.
If we enter here first, we can see 수직사. 수직사 is very similar to 행랑채. It was place for sixteen servants and gaurds. Behind 수직사 there is a lofty gate. Lofty gate means high level and pride of loyal family. And Sedan chair had to pass it. That's the another reasno why it has high roof. If we pass the gate, we could see 노안당 such as 사랑채. It is area for me. These area was Heungsun Daewongun's living queter. And he died here. Behind this building there are 노락당 and 이로당 such as 안채.
I was interested about 운현궁 wasn't 궁궐. And it has structure like normal people private house, 한옥
