Today, I went to 남산 한옥 village and I saw and learned many things. First, I saw the structure of tiled roof house such as 사랑채, 안채, and 행랑채. 사랑채 is a personal living quarters for men, 안채, is personal living quarters for women, and 행랑채 is quarters for servants. Second, I learned about three important people whose houses are in 남산 한옥 village. They are 김춘영, 민영휘, and 윤택영. 김춘영 is one of the 명성황후's relatives. He established 천일 bank and 휘문 school. 윤택영 is the father-in-law of king 순종. Last, I learned traditional Korean heating system and a thing which people used like a bathroom. Traditional Korean heating system, 온돌 kept people warm in the winter. And people used chamber pot as bathroom ,because bathroom was too far to go. I learned a lot in 남산 한옥 village and I really enjoyed the time in there |
