Today, I went to Seodaemun Prison Hall. I learned a lot about the freedom fighters and patriots. I also learned a lot about the prisoners (who were freedom fighters and patriots) and prisoners' everyday life. I learned a lot more, but the most disgusting and scariest thing I remembered the most was 'torture'. There were water torture, fingernail torture, box torture, etc. When the Japanese tortured Koreans by doing water torture, they made Koreans stand upside down, and pour Red Pepper water on their face. They made Koreans feel drowning. Also, the fingernail torture tortured Koreans by poking sharp needles under people's fingernails. After I learned a lot about Korean freedom fighters and patriots' hurting life, I began to respect them a lot. |
