Today, I learned about Seodaemun prison hall and Koreans¡¯ resistance against Japanese occupation. From now on, I will talk about those things.

 First, I will talk about March 1^st movement. March 1^st movement was held in 1919, at Pagoda Park. More than one million people participated and shouted ¡°Hurray, Korean independence!¡± Many of those who participated in the movement were taken to prison or shot right away. I could see that Koreans at that time wanted independence so desperately that they shed their lives for Korea.

 Second, I will talk about Yu Guan Sun. Yu Guan Sun was a young female freedom fighter. She went to prison because she participated in the march 1^st movement. She was tortured very harshly but she endured all of it and shouted for independence. The Japanese police treated her so badly that she was dead in prison. When people found her body after independence, it was so horribly cut and tortured. I thought she was a very brave girl. She fought for independence although she was almost the same age as me.

 Third, I want to talk about tortures that the Japanese did in Seodaemun prison. The tortures are very various but awfully harsh that I don¡¯t want to talk about them. Korean patriots were harshly tortured in torture rooms. Those torture rooms had wax dolls and explanation cards just like a museum. I could feel the pain that the patriots felt. I even imagined that the person who made these tortures is a sociopath, since the tortures were awful.

 In conclusion, I can imagine a lot of patriots sacrificed their lives that was impressive, and sharing that I'm proud of it. Many people only think about themselves but they didn¡¯t. Since they tried to save the country not caring about their own lives, we should all remember and be proud of them.
