Hi, my name is Jade and i¡¯m going to tell you the Dancheong Pattern. We can see some colorful patterns on the palace or Buddhist temples. That is the Dancheong pattern. It consists of five colors. Red represents fire, Black represents water. Green represents tree or wood. White represents water. Yellow represents the earth. These five colors is called ¿À¹æ»ö, representing the 5 directions, and the 5 elements of the universe.

Dancheong not only symbolizes the power of the king, but also protects the wood from bug and rains.

Unlike most Dancheongs are colorful, some of them are calm and soothing. Such as Jongmyo Shrine.

I think Dancheong is mixed with a lot of Eastern culture, and korean culture.
