천상열차분야지도 is one of the world's oldest astronomical charts from the Joseon Dynasty. It was made on the basis of the astronomical charts of Goguryeo. Then why did they make it? Just for having a dull time? They made 천상열차분야지도 for agriculture. Then what relation has between those two? We can guess the weather through constellations. And the weather is very important in farming. So our ancestors whose first industry was agriculture, wanted to know the weather and have a good harvest. I'm so proud of our ancestors because if one country has its astronomical charts, it means that the country's national power is strong. According to this, I could find that our country's science technology was superior and greatly, it's superior in present, too. |
