Hello, my name is Chloe. Today I will explain about Gyeongbok palace. First I will explain about Geunjengjeon. Geunjengjeon looks like two-storey building but it is one storey building with really high ceiling. Also, Geunjengjeon was used for ceremonies like coronations, Chinese envoy receptions, royal weddings and nation official works. Second I will explain about Sajeongjeon. Sajeongjeon is the place where king works and Cheonchujeon and Manchunjeon used during the winter to stay warm.
Lastly, I will explain about Gangneongjeon. Gangneongjeon is the King's living quarter. The special feature of this is that there are no dragon ridge on the roof. The dragon ridge is a symbol of King and he actually stayed there so they didn't need dragon ridge.
Thank you~ |
