Visiting the National Museum of Korea
Today, I went to the National Museum of Korea. At the museum, I saw the treasures of Balhae and learned about the history of this fascinating kingdom. Balhae was established by Dae Joyeong in 698 CE. Balhae's royal family traced its roots back to Goguryeo. They successfully recovered some of Goguryeo's former territory and became the last Korean kingdom to rule parts of Manchuria.
Leaving the National Museum of Korea, I felt amazed by the many valuable treasures I had seen. The experience was so enriching that I felt a strong desire to return again in the future. |
