Hello, my name is sung park, and today we went to the national museum of korea.
Today we learned about stone age, bronze age, and iron age. In the stone age people used hand axes. At first hand axes were heavy and big, as time past hand axes became thinner, sharper, and lighter. Also at that period of time cavemen who used to live in caves moved to places that were close to rivers because they started farming, and water is important in farming, also for hunting fish or to catch clams too. To be specific this period is called neolithic period. After that there is bronze age. In bronze age, bronze were rare and expensive. Only leaders could have bronze. Gojoseon was also established by dangunwanggum in te bronze age, but when it became iron age, china attacked Gojoseon and won because china had iron weapons but Gojoseon did not have many iron weapons, they just used rock weapons. Now in the iron age after gojoseon, countries named buyeo and samhans. The 'sam' in the samhan means three because there were 3 hans, mahan, jinhan, and beonhan. After those countries, 3 big countries and 1 small country gets established. Goguryeo, baekje, silla, and gaya, but later on gaya was too weak and got 'absorbed' by silla. After that silla and china become allies and they attack goguryeo, and baekje. They won but china hits silla in the back and they have a war, but silla wins and goguryeo and baekje is now almost all of sillas territory. After theres balhae and stuff but I'll stop here.
In conclusion, the trip to the National museum of korea was amazing and fun. It was a great time with my friends too. If I have more time, I want to go back again and learn more about korean history. |
