Hello? I am Jin U. Today, I went to the national folk museum. I will tell you what I've learned, saw, and listened today noon. I choose the life of koreans to my topic. I choose this topic because I can talk a lot about this topic.
There were a lot of events in their lives. Gwan hon sang jae(관혼상제) is examples of events.Gwan rae is to be an adult. Hon rae is marriage. Sang rae is like when grand father died, we prayed for the respose of the soul of the dead. Jae rae is event we pray to ancestor.
There were a lot of events so I will talk about few events. My cow themes are birth and Dol( first birthday). First event is birth. When a baby was born, a straw rope(geumjul) was hung over the gate. When boy was born family, or village people hung pepper. When girl was born people hung pine tree leaves. People hung the straw rope to protect the house from evil spirits and to warn people not to enter the house.
Finally, second event is Dol(the first birthday). Dol means the end of
one year old and star of two years old. On the first birthday, the child is seated before a table of various things. For example, brush, money, book, and thread were various things. My mom said I pick three of its. I pick pencil, money, and thread. This was unbelievable situation. I think so, either. So thank you for watching my essay!!!!!!!
