Hello~ everyone today I went to the seonggyungwan(성균관) museum
Today I talk about confucian ideas and valuse.
Joseon was govered according to confucian ideals. So they think 인, 의, 예, 지 was very important! Confucianism was the primary system among the yoangban class.
Yi I and Yi Hwang are the most famous confucian scholars of that period.
Yi I was son of 신사임당. He propsed various reform about many social issues of the time. He suggested that Joseon should train 100,000 soldiers against invasions form foreign powers.
And another confucians scholar is Yi Hwang. He systemized Korean Neo-Confucianism and developed its substance 주희.
Second, passing the Gwageo guarnateed a high rank.
The people who passed the first examination were called 생원 and 진사. They would then have the chance to apply for the civil servant examation.
Usually 33 people passed the examination. Those 33 people were seated differently according to their scores. we divided this ranking class. we divided 3 Part! 갑과, 을과, 병과. 갑과 was the first class. this ranking is very high class. The first three people were 갑과.
And 을과 was the secondly class. The next seven people were 을과.
The rast one, 병과. 병과 was the lowest rank. The rest 23 people were 병과.
If I were Joseon Dynasty Yangban. I would have wanted to be the higest ranking.
