Hello,my name is Ellie. Today I'm going to tell you about the inner palace and outer palace.
In Joseon, the palaces had inner palace and outer palace. The inner palace is the King's families living quarters and the outer palace is the King's office. When you pest the Gwanghwmun->Èï·Ê¹® -> ±Ýõ±³ and Geunjeongjeon, you can see Geunjeongjeon. Geunjeongjeon is where royal wedddings, coronations and receptions of chinese envoys are held. The king greets the chineses envoys, so Geunjeongjeon is outer palace. When you go behind the Geunjeongjeon, there is Sajeongjeon. Sajeongjeon is where the king study and do some work with retainers. The Sajeongjeon is cold when it is winter. So beside the Sajeongjeon there are two rooms with Chimneys so it stays warm. So the king goes there and do some work or study in the winter. Sajeongjeon is part of the outer palace.
In the back of the Sajeongjeon, there is Gangneongjeon. It is the king's living quarters. The king slept in Gangneongjeon but sometimes he had some parties with his retainers. The Gyotaejeon is behind Gangneongjeon. It is the queen's living quarters. so it is the inner palace. Behind the Gyotaejeon, there is a little garden for the queen. The garden is called Ami-san. The queen can't go out of the palace. So she looks around the Ami-san and looks at some flowers, trees and grass.
This is the end of my presentation. Thank you for listening to my presentation.
