Hello, everyone. My name is Se Hun. Today, I am going to talk about Gyeonungung palace.

The palace was personal house of the older brother of king Seongjong who 9th king of Joseon dynasty. Deahanmun is the main gate of Gyeongungung. Originally, the main gate of Gyeongungung was Inwhamun.

Junghwajeon was the most important building in Gyeongungung because it was used for official events. There is a folding screen, called Irwol-obongbyeong. It represents the king's existence. Jeakjodang was place for coronations before  Junghwajeon founded. Hamyeongjeon was used as the king's living quater. Seokjojeon is a western style building. It looks very splendid. It has a living room for goverment officals, a reception hall and bedroom for the king and queen. Last place Jeonggwagheon was used for king Gojong's relaxation. Its architectural designs are mixed well.

Next time, I want to go to the Gyeongbokgung.
