Hello everyone, My name is Austin. Today I want to talk about Social Statues. There were two classes in early Joseon, Yangin(¾çÀÎ) and Cheonmin(õ¹Î). Also, Yangin was spilt into small three classes which consisted of Yangban(¾ç¹Ý), Jungin(ÁßÀÎ) and commoners(Æò¹Î). Yangban the manager, the highest class of Yangin usally became main goverment officials and they had strong influences for Joseon. Jungin, the second class of Yangin, was a few goverment officials like doctors and artisans. However, they didn't have much influence for their society. Commoners, the biggest part of Yangin, were farmers and merchants. Cheonmin, the lowest class of all, was usually slaves for Yangin. After learning about Social Statues, I felt like the gap between Yangin and Cheonmin in Joseon was simular to that of the rich and the poor nowdays(ºóºÎ°ÝÂ÷). |
