Hello, My name is Jinny. Today I visited Unhyeongung. Hve you ever heard about Unhyeongung? Unhyeongung is a personal house of Heungseondaewongun(흥선대원군), the father of King Gojong(고종). Unhyeongung was not a built as a palace, but later it became a palace when 고종 became a king. IN Unhyeongung there are three big buildings, 노안당, 노락당 and 이로당. The most interesting place for me was 노안당. It is a 사랑채, men's living quarter. 흥선대원군 stayed there and discussed about political issues and met his guests. 노안당 means a place for 흥선대원군's family to live comfortably in their old ages. The reason why I found 노안당 interesting is because the meaning of 노안당 felt so good. If I get a chance to go to that time, I wish that I could ve the servant of 흥선대원군, so I could get more information about 운현궁. |
