Today I went Gyeonbokgung Palace. There are many buildings and three gates. Gwanghwamun, Heungryemun and Geunjeongmun. Gwanghwamun was destroyed during joseon-Japan War. and Gwanghwamun moved time of Japanese occupation. because the Japanes built govermnent building in front of the Gyeongbokgung Palace. and Gwanghwamun was severely damaged at the Korean war. It was rebuilt at in 2010. Now I'm talk about Geunjeongjeon. Geunjeongjeon is outer palace. It is the throne hall and also main building of the Gyeongbokgung. Ceremonies such as coronations and royal weddings too. last Chinese envoy receptinos were held. Sajeongjeon s outer palace. Sajeongjeon is King's office. king study Confucian canon, and also discuss political affairs with his retainers. Gangneongjeon is inner palace. and king's living quaters. There is no dragon ridge. because king's symbol is the dragon, and if two drangon met fighting, finally one dragon died. so there is no dragon ridge on the roof. Gyotaejeon is inner palace and queen's living quarters. There is very beautiful garden, Ahmisan behind Gyotaejeon. queen's appearance is very great, so queen feel inconvenient. That is why Ahmisan garden was made for the queen. jagyeongjeon is inner palace. It is for queen mom's quarter. Jagyeongjeon is famous for chimney and the flower wall. There are many symbols on the roof. turtle, crane, sun, and the rock.... this mean to represent everlasting life. Gyeonghoeru is resting and hosting people for the king. It is supported by 48stone pillars. outer pillars are square and the inner pillars are round. Hyangwonjeong is resting for the royal family. The pond is square. The square symbolize is the earth, and circle symbolize is heaven. It from the yin and yang theory.
Gyeongbokgung is very large, so I'm very tired and be totally exhausted. but very useful for me. Today I felt very great and fun!
