Hello, my name is Rachel. I went to seoul museum of history. First, King Taejo chose hanyang as capital, because Hanyang was the center of politics and economy. Second, I learned about 동궐 & 서궐. 동궐 is the east palaces, included changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung. and 서궐 is the west palaces such as Gyeonghuigung, Gyeongungung. Third, I will talk about 북촌, 중촌, 남촌. In 북촌 the royal familes and high lever officials lived here. and doctor, officers lived in 중촌. last 남촌 the few powerful noble families lived here and many poor noblemen lived here too. Fourthly, I will talk abuot the umbilical cord and jar. When the queen gave birth to a prince, umbilical cord of the prince was put in a jar and buried. last, I leaned about patch. only king and crown prince have a dragon pattern. Civil officers had crane, and military officers had tiger patterns. This class was an intereshting class and I learned a lot, so I'm very happy. Thank you!! |
