Hello, everyone! My name is Jang, sang hun. Ladies and gentleman, today the weather is really fantastic. isn't it? What I usually do with my family in great weather is go traveling or visit the cultural assets. So today I visited Gyeongbok palace and experience many palace and gate. Now I am going to tell you story about Gyeongbok Palace. First, I through the gate. It called 흥례gate. When I through the gate, my action is alike the retainer. But I like king and crown prince. When we entered the gyeongbok palace we saw the bridge. 영제교 which is made dividing king and normal people and washing the bad sprits such as killing people, speak bad word to somebody and so on. There is a many places like 근정전, 사정전, 교태전, 자경전, 경회루 and so on. When I saw these, I was stoned because of its dignity. Especially, when I entered and saw the 아미산, I was touched. After the teacher's explain I was really sorry to hear that. In other hand, I couldn't understand that why they wanted to become a queen. As we saw the decoration of chimney which is called 십장생도, we can guess that Joseon people wanted everlasting life as well.
And.. I am going to introduce 경복 palace. When I through the 근정gate. There is a 근정전. 사정전 is a king's officer. The inner palace. There live in royal family. 강년전 is a king's living quarter. There is a no dragon ridge on the roof. because, the king stayed 강녕전. He represent dragon.
Queen's living quarter is 교태전. Behind the 교태전 there is beautiful, tiny garden. It called 아미산. It is made for queen. because she did not go out side. But I don't thing so. It is terrible and not good rule. Last is 경회루. It is large pavilion for resting and hosting parties. It has 48 pillars. Outer pillars are square and inner pillars are round. This story is from yin and yang theory. (음양오행설) 경회루's history and name is bad. 연산군 is hold the party everyday. so, It's nickname is paint the town (흥청망청). 연산군 is paint the town here.
경복palace means 'The palace of greate fortunne.' I pray to good for your fortune.
